BMW M begins its 25th season as the "Official Car of MotoGP" with the new BMW M2 safety car.

BMW M's 25th season as the Official car of MotoGP will begin with the Grande Prémio de Portugal, which will take place from March 24 to 26 in Portimo.

The new BMW M safety car will make its premiere at the beginning of Portugal's anniversary season.

Munich. Beginning on March 24 through March 26 at Portimo, the Grande Prémio de Portugal will serve as the official launch pad for BMW M's 25th season as the Official Vehicle of MotoGP. Since 1999, Dorna Sports, the owner of the MotoGP rights, and I have worked closely together. The new BMW M safety car will make its premiere in Portugal at the start of the anniversary season. The new BMW M2 MotoGP safety car is based on the new BMW M2, which had its world debut in October (combined fuel consumption in line with WLTP: 9.8 - 9.6 l/100 km; combined CO2 emissions in accordance with WLTP: 222 - 218 g/km; specifics as per NEFZ).

The new BMW M2 is an impressive example of high-performance sports car tradition in condensed form and with cutting-edge technology. The new BMW M2, with its small size and 460 horsepower TwinPower turbo in-line 6-cylinder engine, is the ideal starting point for a BMW M safety car.

  
 
The BMW M2 was equipped with a variety of safety car components for use on MotoGP racetracks. A roll bar, RECARO seats, a 6-point racing harness, a fire extinguisher, the safety vehicle roof bar, and the complementary front light are some of these components. There are also a number of M Performance components added, including the exhaust system, chassis, carbon wing mirror covers, diffusor, and rear wing. The normal BMW M safety car livery will be on the BMW M2 MotoGP safety car. The 2023 safety car fleet also comprises numerous other BMW M safety, medical, and official cars, as well as BMW M 1000 RR safety bikes, in addition to the new BMW M2 MotoGP safety car.
